EMS has always been considered family; as with any family, we have our moments of conflict. However, when tragedy comes, we are all willing to place ourselves in harm's way for a person we may have never met. These bonds forged in trauma are some of the strongest bonds known.

When individuals take it upon themselves to dive deep into their own family's history, they begin understanding how their family interacted with more significant historical changes. This page is dedicated to the history of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the impact of those early pioneers because of their vision. The hope is as others enter the EMS family, they will have a better sense of the shoulders they stand on. The goal is to tell the story, no matter the patch you wore or where you served, said only as our family's history.
